Scheme of "Support for Entrepreneurial and Managerial Development of MSMEs
through Incubators" of Ministry of MSME, Govt of India.

Main
objective of the scheme is to promote & support untapped creativity of
individual and to promote adoption of latest technologies in manufacturing as
well as knowledge based innovative MSMEs (ventures) that seek the validation of
their ideas at the proof of concept level.
Such
entrepreneurial ideas have to be fostered and developed in a supportive
environment before they become attractive for venture capital. Hence the need
arises for incubation centres: to promote and support untapped creativity of
individual innovators and to assist them to become technology based
entrepreneurs.
Objectives:
There onwards, the institute is
working to support students try out their innovative ideas (processes and
products) at the laboratory or workshop stage and beyond (to the extent
possible) to carry forward the idea from its mere conception to ‘know how ‘and
then to ‘do how’ stage. With the opportunity given to GMRIT, will enable
students to come out with the best possible technology enabled ideas/products
contributing to the society and to nation building at large.
